Beekit lay in her soft nest of moss, purring rhythmically as she was beginning to get swept away by dreams once more. She turned on her side but felt an obstacle. What could possibly be disrupting Beekit's comfort and sleep? She blinked open her eyes only to see a small lump of orange tabby fur in her way.
"Sunkit! Move!"
Beekit used her hind legs and pushed the lump which she's meant to call her sister out of the moss nest and onto the floor. She heard as her sister's silent snoring turned into a yelp of confusion and then slight pain as she flopped onto the floor. Beekit giggled with cheekiness as she watched Sunkit from the comfort of her nest.
This was just an ordinary morning for Beekit. Getting woken up by Sunkit and in return waking Sunkit up. She knew that her sister wasn't really fond of this routine but Beekit just carries on. Once a habit is made it's hard to break it - especially if it's a habit which she enjoys. Beekit glanced at her sister again. This is something her sister will have to endure for her whole life.

Sunkit was chasing a squirrel, she jumped over logs and climbed trees just as fast as it. She easily caught up to the squirrel and grabbed its tail. She flung it down towards the ground and dropped on it, pinning it.
"its over for you, squirrel." and as she said those very words, and was about to sink her teeth into the squirrel's throat, she got knocked over, plunging into darkness. As she awoke from her usual dream that daily got broken by Beekit being really annoying and waking her up.
"That hurt..."
Sunkit stretched and yawned, still half asleep she stumbled around the warm nursery and tripped over something soft. Her face hit the ground and she squeaked, after a moment she regained her balance and opened her eyes, she saw her sister giggling in the shadows. She looked over to her mother, Herrongaze, she was still asleep. Sunkit than looked at Beekit again and motioned her tail for her sister to be quiet.
"Let's explore." She whispered. motioning with her tail towards the exit of the nursery. She felt a chilly breeze breakout through the entrance and entered into the nursery, ruffling Sunkit's fur. She sneezed as the sudden cold air tickled her nose.

Beekit followed Sunkit's gaze over to their sleeping mother. Beekit turned back to Sunkit and nodded - indicating she understood 'be quiet or you'll wake our mother'. Beekit carefully stepped out of the warm nest, and once she was out she shook herself and her fur fluffed up as she felt the cold breeze circle around her. She too sneezed as the coldness caught her nose and tickled.
"A-a... Achoo!"
Beekit sneezed quietly - jumping as she did so. She glanced back at Herrongaze, scared she might've woken her up, but no. Their mother just twitched and switched sides as she continued to purr in the comfort of her nest. Beekit felt a sudden longing for her mother's warmth and slightly started to step toward the nest.
But Beekit hook her head and instead bounced over to stand beside her sister, Sunkit. She looked towards the exit of the den and glanced over to Sunkit.
"Explore? You read my mind!" Beekit bounced towards the exit, giggling and giving slight squeals of excitement. They have always tried to leave the den and explore camp while it was early dawn but they were always caught in the act. But no more - finally they could explore the camp in the early daytime! All camp is their's for the first few moments of daytime. Everything is theirs!
Everything... even the fresh-kill pile! Beekit started to purr at the thought of a plump mouse at her paws.
Suddenly, she feels something wet fall onto her paw. Looking down, Beekit realises that she had been drooling. She quickly licks her lips and rubs her paw onto the floor to dry it up.

Sunkit followed her sister out the nursery and got a bit startled when Beekit sneezed. She took a few deep breaths, inhaling the cold air, enjoying it. A short burst of wind blew at her and she nearly fell over. She was enjoying this so much. Their mother doesn’t usually let them out of the nursery in the morning. This is probably the second or third time they seen the camp with the sun still down. She started to shiver. But she didn't mind, she just loved how the wind was blowing at her.
She looked at her drooling sister and then set her gaze on the fresh-kill pile. It was still pretty empty, but now that its newleaf it will start getting filled up. And it was only the morning, none of the hunting patrols were out.
"First come, first served." Sunkit said, not loudly, but loud enough for Beekit to hear. And on the last word she dashed off towards the pile, she slid on a wet leaf and skidded to a halt next to the apprentices’ den. She could now smell the fresh-kill now, drooling just like her sister done a moment ago. Another gust of wind and she got thrown a fox-lenght.

Beekit perked up. A challenge? She smirked as her sister started to run towards the fresh-kill. Beekit raced after Sunkit, practically on her tail. As Sunkit tripped clumsily on a leaf Beekit just barely managed to avoid her sister's long fur. She halted beside her sister and purred - heavily amused.
"What was that?" She exclaimed. "Did a small wittle weaf trip you?" Beekit teased, sticking out her bottom lip and giving the biggest doll eyes she could manage. Without a moment's passing she cheekily stuck her tongue out at her sister and raced for the fresh-kill pile, looking back at her sister.
"Oh well! More for me~" She cheered.
Beekit was practically at the fresh-kill pile but a large paw was swung at her and she skidded to a halt. Looking up at who the paw belonged she felt a mix of relief and fear run through her. It was Skyflower!
Beekit smiled, unsure if the gentle she-cat will go easy on her or not. "Hey, Skyflower," She stuttered "How are you?"
Though Skyflower is usually a happy-go-lucky cat with a gentle personality, this time Skyflower gave her and her sister a stern stare.
"What are you two doing outside the nursery? I don't recall seeing your mother up and around camp at this time." Skyflower paused and swept her gaze over the two she-kits.

As Sunkit regained her balance, Beekit was already purring, and then teasing. She made that stupid but also adorable face, then she stuck out her tounge and started running towards the fresh kill pile. Sunkit chased her sister, she was gaining fast, she could literraly bite her tail. But just as Beekit nearly reached the pile, something swung at her and she stopped. Skyflower. The white and grey she-cat started questioning them, Sunkit din't like lying, but she was good at it. "Goodmorning Skyflower, we couldn't sleep and we wanted to get some fresh air" Sunkit looked at Skyflower's green eyes, not challengingly though. She hoped Skyflower wouldn't notice the guilt in her eyes. As she tapped Beekit with her tail, she saw Jaguarshine out the corner of her eyes. He walked up to the little gathering they made. "What have you two done this time?" He eyed the fresh-kill pile and Sunkit looked away, "ah, so that's what it is. If you are hungry than you should ask your mother's permission first." Sunkit straightened, "we weren't going to eat anything. It's just that we don't get to see the camp in the mornings often." "You should go back to the nursery and sleep, after all you're still kits and need to rest so you can grow." he turned and walked away towards the warriors' den.

Skyflower watched Jaguarshine walk away. She never really liked the tom - she didn't know why, an instinct she guessed. Looking back at the kits she crouched down to their level and smiled cheekily to Beekit and Sunkit.
"Don't listen to him! He just probably has a tick somewhere that's making him grumpy!" She whispered to them.
Beekit's ears perked up and her eyes sparkled - she thinks she knows where the conversation is going. "You two can stay in camp with me watching you until Herrongaze wakes up - then you two are her responsibility" Meows the she-cat. Yes! Beekit jumped up and looked at her sister, they finally did it! Freedom to them!
Without hesitation, Beekit started toward the fresh-kill pile but was once again stopped by Skyflower's white and grey paw.
"On one condition; no fresh-kill until the whole clan is up!" Skyflower smiled to herself as she watched the kit's smiles quickly fall. She was not going to make it such an easy victory for them, but as much as she wanted to stay strict, she couldn't resist the two's sad eyes.
She walked up the pile and picked out the smallest mouse she could find - the clan definitely wouldn't miss this - and dropped it at the kit's paws.
"Fine, since you two seem to be literally dying unless you have something," She teased "you can have this - just don't tell anyone!" She purred.
Beekit dug into the puny mouse - it was distasteful and old but she was too hungry to care.

As Jaguarshine walked away, Skyflower bent down and whispered to them how grumpy he was and that he probably had a tick in him. as Beekit's ears perked up, a soft and warm breeze washed the camp. Newleaf is here, maybe our mother will let us go out more when it gets warmer. Beekit made a sudden rush at the fresh-kill pile, but she didn't even make it a fox-length before Skyflower blocked her path, again. Beekit's smile dropped, and Sunkit felt her smile drop to, slowly. They both tried making the saddest eyes they could, and victory was theirs! Skyflower gave in and walked up to the fresh-kill pile, she took her time until she tossed them a thin looking mouse. Sunkit wasn't very eager to eat that, but Beekit didn't seem to think about it much, she went straight for it. That is when Sunkit realised how hungry she was, she followed her younger sisters lead and dug in too. It was pretty dry, and there was little meat, but it was filling. "Skyflower, how hard was it being an apprentice?" Sunkit asked between mouthfuls. I might aswell use this time us much as possible, we will be apprentices soon.

By the time Sunkit had asked the question Beekit was already finished with her serving of bony mouse. The little she-cat was sitting in front of Skyflower and awaiting eagerly for the pretty she-cat's response. "Yeah! How was it? Did you get in trouble a lot?" She sneakily added the last part.
Skyflower purred at the little she-cat's questions and nodded slowly. "Of course it was hard, being part of TreeClan is no easy task, after all." She meowed, her green gazing falling over the kits. "But, if you try equally as hard then it will all be a breeze!" Finished Skyflower.
Beekit was dissatisfied with the response, however, her tail was twitching impatiently. "But did you get into trouble? What was your worse punishment?" She asked, whining as if she had been dying to hear. Skyflower rolled her eyes at the kit and laughed. "No, I was a pretty good apprentice - unlike some. I did sometimes get into trouble for not paying attention and other stuff, and I still had to do the usual chores and activities" She explained while Beekit and Sunkit watched her with intent eyes. She felt a little unnerved as the kits were practically glaring at her at this point, but she knew it was just kits being eager to learn.

Sunkit glanced at her sister who was watching Skyflower with wide eyes which glimmered with intent. She was sitting forward too, a sign that Beekit was indeed eager to hear whatever the grey and white she-cat had to say. But Sunkit had heard what she wanted to know and now didn't feel the need to carry on listening and paying attention, so she glanced around the clearing.
It was still quite early, seems as if not much time has passed since they woke up and left the nest. Sunkit shivered as a cold newleaf breeze ruffled her fur.
"Beekit, wanna race me to the nursery and back? Last one back is a mouse!" She called out to her sister, standing up to start running to the nursery.
She was certain that this got her sister's attention, so without hesitating, she ran up to the nursery. Beekit had always usually beat her in races, but not this time! Sunkit knew that she got a head start as her sister most likely had to figure out what's going on as she was so concentrated on Skyflower that she didn't even realise her challenge. Sure, it was a bit cheaty, but Beekit has cheated too many times in their previous games for this time to matter.

Beekit turned round after her sister had called out to her. A race? A challenge? She saw her sister running down to the Nursery already. Sunkit had gotten a head-start. Cheater! But at least this will prove how great Beekit is - she will win even if her sister cheats.
And so, the tiny calico she-cat began racing after her sister, already rehearsing her victory chant in her head. The Nursery kept getting closer and closer, and finally when she reached, Beekit began stopped herself but tripped over her own paws and went tumbling through the entrance and into the Nursery. Suddenly, she bumped into something hard.
"Ow!"
Beekit quickly jumped up, scared to see who it was that she tumbled into. There stood a tall figure with golden eyes staring at her in a mixture of fear and anger.
"Watch it!" Mumbled the cat before looking down at their paws and standing up hesitantly. They must've been getting ready to walk out of the Nursery before Beekit had came through the entrance. Before Beekit could apologise, Skyflower had poked her head through the entrance and was glancing around to see if anyone got injured or hurt. "Is everyone alright? She asked as her gaze swept over Beekit and the cat.
Beekit turned to Skyflower and nodded, half embarrassed. "Yeah," she mumbled looking down at her paws. "Dustykit just started to leave the Nursery, but I tripped and bumped into him." Beekit pulled a smile, hopefully laughing the matter away will help?
Well, almost. Skyflower chuckled along, relieved to see that no serious injuries had happened. But Dustykit just left the Nursery quickly, avoiding Skyflower along the way.

Sunkit watched as the Beekit got dangerously close to the nursery, and then tumbling through the entrance. She should have slowed down, when will she learn. Sunkit slowed down, not making the same mistake as Beekit. She heard someone shout 'ow' from the nursery, Beekit must had run into someone. When she came out the nursery she said it was Dustykit. Sunkit couldn't help but giggle as Skyflower laughed, she had a nice laugh. I hope nobody mentions that I lost... "Where do you think Dustykit is going?" Sunkit asked as Dustykit walked past Skyflower. He sure is slim for a boar, but his warm brown fur is nice. A butterfly flew across the clearing, she watched as it flew around. "How about a game?" she turned to Beekit, "let's play 'first one to catch the butterfly'!" She started chasing the butterfly across the camp, jumping and pouncing as the yellow butterfly fly up and down. The Newleaf sun warmed her pale ginger pelt, the breeze was still cold since it was only morning. It was such a beatifull day to play, she wondered when their mother would wake up and call them in. OOC: I honestly didn't know what i was writing for the last few lines...

Beekit followed her sister's gaze and shrugged. "I don't know, but who cares. He's pretty weird like that - always scared and alone." Skyflower gave Beekit a stern glance, shaking her head in disapproval. "You shouldn't talk like that about a clanmate" She meowed, her previous joyous laughing disappeared once Beekit said what she did. The small calico she-cat responded with a sad and ashamed nod as well as the fidgeting of paws.
Her attention was then moved towards her sister and so she left the nursery with her. Skyflower sat outside the Nursery, grooming herself. Dustykit was out of sight by now, StarClan knows where he went. When Beekit looked back at her sister she was already trying to catch the butterfly that fluttered just close enough to the ground to attempt a catch. But Beekit wasn't interested in silly butterfly catching games. Instead, she gave a smug grin and hopped by her sister.
"So, since I passed you in that race... I won? I mean, it I didn't trip over I would've won so..." She grinned, hoping to be named Victor by her sister, and Sunkit named loser. It's such a shame really, that her sister had to cheat the race but still lost.

Sunkit rolled her eyes at her sister, of course she wouldn't let me forget. She hated losing to her sister, and since she played unfair by cheating, her sister will surely not let her forget about this. Instead of responding with a defeated 'yes', she instead jumped higher and higher, trying to catch the fluttering butterfly.
"Well, since you went rolling through the nursery, doesn't that mean that I won by default for not breaking my neck?" she teased back at her sister, sticking her tongue out. The only way to get her sister not going on and on about this today is if she uses Beekit's tactics against her. So, let's see, insult? Check. Self-centred? Check. Hopefully her sister will just brush off the come-back and change the subject, like she usually does.
While her sister was responding with whatever she had to say, Sunkit took her attention back to the butterfly. It was so pretty, so wonderful, so care-free. With each attempted strike, the butterfly seemed careless - almost as if unaware that she's being played with. Sunkit wanted to be like that, careless as to what others say about her and just carrying on doing what she wants, never caring about other's comments and insults.
Sunkit looked back at Beekit. Well, maybe she cares about only one cat's comments. Sunkit looked at the nursery where her mother must be sleeping. Okay, make that two.

Beekit narrowed her eyes at her sister as she mentioned her fall and roll. Well, if she hadn't tripped over her own paws, she would have won - but she didn't bother arguing with her sister, she had better things to do rather than deciding if she won or not, because in the end, she knows she's the victor.
"Whatever," She shrugged, dismissing her sister's comment. Anyways, wanna see where Dustykit sneaked off to? I always wondered where he hides" She whispered over to Sunkit so that no eavesdroppers could hear.
She glanced at Sunkit and realised that she had been staring at the fluttering butterfly, occasionally swiping at it and missing terribly. It was as if she wasn't even trying! Beekit smirked to herself and crouched down onto her haunches, swerving her hind - getting ready to pounce up. And, after her sister swiped for the final time, she launched herself into the air straight for the pretty-winged bug. Beekit snatched it out of the air with her jaws and landed back down clumsily. Beekit held her head up with pride, showing off the butterfly which tasted dry and icky in her mouth - but the small calico she-cat sucked it up for the show, a small fowl taste shouldn't ruin the performance that she displayed!
