Oᴠᴇʀᴠɪᴇᴡ

This page holds a list of TCE’s official Treeclan NPCs, and provides key details such as their general appearance and temperaments, and their relationships to existing OCs. With exception of Site NPCs (see below), every NPC is connected in some way to an existing character, but can usually be used by any member of TCE during roleplay (with exception of Personal NPCs) – with the understanding that they are not significantly changed/injured without permission from their original owner. Please be aware that NPCs are still considered the property of the user that originally created them, and that our members are in effect being given permission to borrow them in the interests of fleshing out their roleplays. They can also be removed from this list at any time, or edited (by their original owners) at any time.

Where applicable, NPC names have been linked directly to the NPC's mini-profile, which contains more detailed information about them and is maintained by their original owner.

These cats are official NPCs, have their own mini-profiles (tagged [Site]) within the NPC board, and belong to TCE as a whole. They are free for anyone to use at any time, with the understanding that no one will make significant changes to their details (eg: add traumas / serious injuries / major relationships / etc) without staff permission. Potential changes may be put to a vote before being applied.

Note that only staff can add new Site NPCs.

These cats will remain available to all users until they are killed off during roleplay (either as a result of old age, random accident/illness, or a more significant plot development).

Many of these cats originate from our Cat Crafter forum game, and were collaboratively built by our members.

Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟ

These cats belong to the member who first created them, usually do not have their own mini-profiles within the NPC board (if they do, they should be tagged [Personal]), and cannot be used without their owner’s express permission. They are logged primarily to avoid confusion that might otherwise arise from duplicate names and/or references made to them within roleplays. Applicable changes should be PM’ed to staff by the NPC’s owner so that their NPC Page listing can be edited accordingly.

These NPCs will usually be removed from our listings should their owner leave TCE or fall inactive for an extended period of time. Exceptions may occur where an NPC is connected to another member's character.

Members may give named individuals permanent permission to use their Personal NPCs by including a note to that affect in the NPCs basic form / mini-profile.

Fʀᴇᴇ Usᴇ

These cats belong to the member who first created them, and may or may not have their own mini-profiles (tagged [Free Use]) within the NPC board. Applicable changes should be PM’ed to staff by the NPC’s owner so that their NPC Page listing can be edited accordingly.

These NPCs will remain in our listings until their original owner asks for their removal. They remain playable even if their owner falls inactive, but continue to be un-editable without their owner's permission.

Grey tabby with a crippled leg and blind eye. Manipulative and highly prejudiced against Birds, but generally good at hiding it.

A short-furred dark brown—almost black—tom with a slightly lighter underbelly and deep dark green eyes. He is a wise cat but can be controlling and is prone to lecturing those he holds dear.

A well-muscled, long-furred dark ginger she-cat with mottled brown spots and light amber eyes. She is kind and sweet, but as powerful as many other member of her branch. A natural-born leader.

Light ginger warrior. Known for her patience and experience, and for being the only cat Ashstar openly scorns.

A lithe, fluffy black she-cat with white underbelly and nose. She is a fierce, dedicated cat who is a hard worker, but also known for being a flirt. Noticably prefers the presence of she-cats over toms.

Tawnynose

Pale ginger tabby. Timid and completely lacking in confidence – also a regular victim of Firefang’s bullying.

Darkly colored queen with a fluffy tail and ears, and pale cream rosettes surrounding her neck and throat. Uppity and grand personality and recognized for her smothering and boastful attitude toward her remaining son. Known traditionalist; loves to gossip.

Brash and loud Boar who enjoys living life to the fullest. Can often be seen being obnoxious and making way too much noise in the forest floor. Though he isn't the best Boar, he has a large heart and makes an excellent companion.

A gentle grey tabby tom, Tidewind has always been a cat to go with the flow. He is very gentle, patient, and understanding of cats around him. He hasn't always been dealt the best chips in life, losing his mother at a young age and his father while still an apprentice. However, Tidewind goes with the cards he's dealt, and he's known for being a particularly hard cat to anger.
