This thread hold a list of the names that are currently being used on this site. To avoid confusion, no two non-NPC cats should have the same name, though repeat prefixes or suffixes are acceptable as long as the whole name does not match an existing name. Also included on this list are NPCs, the names that our members have reserved, and the names of cats that have been put up for adoption.
Please note that you can re-use a name if it belongs to an NPC, but are advised to contact the original owner of the NPC and look into creating a cat that will both suit your purposes and fulfil the role/s the NPC held in the bio in which it originally occurred. This will help to create the impression that our clan is one cohesive groups, and will also provide additional opportunities for interaction.
You must PM Greymuzzles to reserve kit and ordinary warrior names for your characters, and these reservations will last for a maximum of one month. If you have not created a profile using that name by that time, then your reservation will be lost. We also allow our members to reserve an apprentice and warrior name for their accepted kits: these reservations are made by including [paw/warrior suffix] in the kit’s profile title, and will remain valid until the kit has had the applicable ceremony, or until the member has fallen inactive. For example, Squirrelpaw and Squirrelstep can be reserved for a Squirrelkit by using this thread title:
Squirrelkit [paw/step].
All name reservations are made on a first-come-first-serve basis, and all members are expected to refer to this list before naming new characters.
